WAY TO MAKE YOUR MOBILE BATTERY LAST LONGER

There are some ways to save your mobile battery charge and make longer life your battery.

1. Turn the phone off. This will probably be the most effective and simple way of conserving your battery’s power. Why? This will help conserve energy and also charge your phone. If you don't plan on answering the phone while you're sleeping or after business hours, just turn it off.
Do the same if you are in an area with no reception (such as a subway or remote area, since constantly searching for service depletes the battery fairly quickly. Some phones have an automatic power save feature, but it takes about 30 minutes with no service to kick in. By then, much battery power has been used. If you don't need to receive or make calls but are using a smartphone as a PDA, disable the phone functionality (flight mode).

2.Stop searching for a signal. When you are in an area with poor or no signal, your phone will constantly look for a better connection, and will use up all your power doing so. This is easily understood if you have ever forgotten to turn off your phone on a flight. The best way to ensure longer battery life is to make sure you have a great signal where you use your phone. If you don't have a perfect signal, get a cell phone repeater which will amplify the signal to provide near perfect reception anywhere.

3.Switch the vibrate function off on your phone, using just the ring tone. The vibrate function uses additional battery power. Keep the ring tone volume as low as possible.

4.Turn off your phone's back light. The back light is what makes the phone easier to read in bright light or outside. However, the light also uses battery power. If you can get by without it, your battery will last longer. If you have to use the back light, many phones will let you set the amount of time to leave the back light on. Shorten that amount of time. Usually, one or two seconds will be sufficient. Some phones have an ambient light sensor, which can turn off the back light in bright conditions and enable it in darker ones

5.Avoid using unnecessary features. If you know it will be a while before your phone’s next charge, don’t use the camera or connect to the Internet. Flash photography can drain your battery especially quickly.

6.Keep calls short. This is obvious, but how many times have you heard someone on their mobile phone say, "I think my battery’s dying," and then continue their conversation for several minutes? Sometimes, the dying battery is just an excuse to get off the phone (and a good one, at that), but if you really need to conserve the battery, limit your talk time.

7.Turn off Bluetooth. It will drain your battery very quickly.

8.Same goes for WIFI, GPS, and infrared capabilities, if your phone has these features built in. Keep them off except when you need them to save power.

9.Use GSM rather than 3G - Using your phone in 3G / Dual Mode will drain the battery quicker than if you just use GSM mode - have a look at your phones spec and you'll see it will quote two different battery life times - normally 50% more for pure GSM use.

Battery Failure
  • IndicatorsThe usable time after recharging is shortened.
  • The battery becomes unusually warm during a recharge cycle.
  • The battery becomes unusually warm during phone use.
  • The battery case may become swollen.
  • This is detectable by feeling and viewing the inside/phone-side of the battery case.
  • Also, when the battery is placed inside/phone-side down on a flat, smooth surface, it will rock and will sustain a spin motion.
  • The case of a healthy battery is flat, and the battery will not a spin easily.
  • The battery develops a hard spot.

10 THINGS ABOUT NOKIA

1. The ringtone "Nokia tune" is actually based on a 19th century guitar work named "Gran Vals" by Spanish musician Francisco Tárrega. The Nokia Tune was originally named "Grande Valse" on Nokia phones but was changed to "Nokia Tune" around 1998 when it became so well known that people referred to it as the "Nokia Tune."

2.Unlike other modern day handsets, Nokia phones do not automatically start the call timer when the call is connected, but start it when the call is initiated. (Except for Series 60 based handsets like the Nokia 6600)

3.The world's first commercial GSM call was made in 1991 in Helsinki over a Nokia-supplied network, by Prime Minister of Finland Harri Holkeri, using a Nokia phone.

4.Nokia is currently the world's largest digital camera manufacturer, as the sales of its camera-equipped mobile phones have exceeded those of any conventional camera manufacturer.

5. The world's first commercial GSM call was made in 1991 in Helsinki over a Nokia-supplied network, by Prime Minister of Finland Harri Holkeri, using a Nokia phone.

6. The "Special" tone available to users of Nokia phones when receiving SMS (text messages) is actually Morse code for "SMS". Similarly, the "Ascending" SMS tone is Morse code for "Connecting People," Nokia's slogan. The "Standard" SMS tone is Morse code for "M" (Message).

7.The Nokia corporate font (typeface) is the AgfaMonotype Nokia Sans font, originally designed by Eric Spiekermann. Its mobile phone User's Guides Nokia mostly used the Agfa Rotis Sans font.

8.Nokia was listed as the 20th most admirable company worldwide in Fortune's list of 2006 (1st in network communications, 4th non-US company).

9.In Asia, the digit 4 never appears in any Nokia handset model number, because 4 is considered unlucky in many parts of Southeast/East Asia.

10.The name of the town of Nokia originated from the river which flowed through the town. The river itself, Nokianvirta, was named after the old Finnish word originally meaning sable, later pine marten. A species of this small, black-furred predatory animal was once found in the region, but it is now extinct.

WHAT HAPPENED ON CALLING TO AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM

Lets first analyze what happened when you dial your customer careyou want to directly talk to
customer care representative and you want to cut out the crapthat you have to listen and press the
corresponding keys on your phone to go forward.
So when you dial number, +12345678 , followed by “ p ”
character, which means pause .  The “ p character will pause the dial sequence for 1 second “.
If you find 1 second is not enough, you can enter more “ p ” characters If you want to automate the call and don’t  want to press the keysdo it this way.
Lets assume that your customer care number  is 121 and the combination of keys you
have to press is 4 3 9 So to automate this process type 121p4p3p9 and press the dial button you will be directly
routed to the customer care representative ,
you can use this procedure to answer any automated system.

USE WINDOWS 7 WITHOUT REGISTRATION

Most of you might be aware of the fact that it is possible to use Windows 7 and Vista for 120 dayswithout activation.
This is actuallypossible using the slmgr -rearm command which will extend the grace period from 30 days to 120days.

However in this post I will show you a small trick using whichit is possible to use Windows 7 without activation for
approximately an year! Here is a way to do that.
1. Goto “Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories” .
Right click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator“.
If you are not the administrator then you are prompted to enter the password,
or else you can proceed to step-2.
2. Now type the following command and hit enter   slmgr -rearm.
3.You will be prompted to restart the computer. Once restarted thetrial period will be once again reset to 30 days.
You can use theabove command for up to 3 timesby which you can extend the trialperiod to 120 days without activation.
4. Now comes the actual trick by which you can extend the trial period for another 240 days.
Open Registry Editor (type regedit in “Run” and hit Enter) and navigate to the following
location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
5. In right-side pane, change valueof SkipRearm to 1.
6. Now you will be able to use theslmgr -rearm command for another 8 times so that you can skip activation process for another 240 days.
So you will get 120 + 240 = 360 days of free Windows 7 usage.
120 days using “slmgr -rearm” command before registry edit
+ 240 days using “slmgr -rearm” command after registry edit = 360 Days
